Currently serving a two-year prison term for various drug and weapon charges, things have just got a lot worse for Lil Boosie. According to a report from Billboard, the Baton Rouge rapper born Torrance Hatch was recently indicted for first degree murder and could face the death penalty.

Though Boosie insists that he's innocent, the notoriously aggressive rapper and two of his associates are accused of shooting 35-year-old Terry Boyd in his home in October 2009 over turf. In addition to that charge, Boosie may be linked to at least five other murders, as well as conspiracy to sell codeine, ecstasy and marijuana in prison.

The grand jury indicted Lil Boosie on June 17. If he is convicted, the death penalty is being considered as a sentence. Boosie released his fifth album, Superbad: The Return of Boosie Bad Azz, in 2009. The rapper is 27 years old.
