Lady Gaga Depicted as Nude Statue on 'ARTPOP' Album Cover

After the ridiculous album cover for 2011's Born This Way, we expected that Lady Gaga's upcoming ARTPOP LP would have similarly over-the-top artwork. Now, the cover image has been unveiled, and we aren't disappointed.

That's it above. The cover features a statue of an all-naked Gaga created by artist Jeff Koons. The naughty bits are covered — partly thanks to a reflective blue orb between the singer's legs — while a chopped-up reproduction of Sandro Botticelli's painting The Birth of Venus is in the background. The image was initially revealed via Clear Channel billboards.

Gaga tweeted, "I'm nervous&excited to share something that's such a piece of my heart. Something I cherish deeply. A real depiction of my mind through his [Koons']."

She added that the statue will be on display at her New York artRAVE event, which is her release party for on ARTPOP on November 10. The album arrives in stores the day after that, on November 11.
