Kylie Minogue Readies Remix Album For January

Aussie pop queen Kylie Minogue has announced she’ll follow-up her much-loved X with a new collection of remixes. Titled Boombox, the compilation will see artist such as the Chemical Brothers, LA Riots and Mylo and Fischerspooner all having a go at various Minogue hits from various points of her career.

Also included on Boombox is the singer’s mash-up of her number one single "Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” and New Order’s "Blue Monday,” titled "Cant Get Blue Monday Out Of My Head,” which she did live back in 2002 at the Brit Awards. And if you choose the download route over CD, the release will come sporting two bonus tracks: Greg Kurstin’s 2007 mix of "Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” and Mark Piccotti Sandstorm Dub version of "Butterfly.” Unfortunately, Studio’s tropically tinged rework of "2 Hearts” doesn't make an appearance.

Boombox is due out on Parlophone on January 5 in the UK and Europe; however, there is no word yet if the collection will get a North American release.
