Maritimes musician Klarka Weinwurm is a fixture of the East Coast scene, having performed with the likes of Shotgun Jimmie and Jon McKiel, but she'll focus on her own brand of indie pop this fall when she delivers her solo set, Continental Drag.
The 11-song album, which follows a couple of EPs, arrives September 4 via Saved by Vinyl. The album is said to be "full of driving melodies and creaking choruses," according to the press release, and you can get an idea of what to expect via a stream of the downtempo, '90s-styled Atlantic indie rock jam "Pictures," which opens the LP.
Just as Continental Drag hits retailers, Weinwurm will head out for some Canadian tour dates that bring her out as far west as Ontario. You can peep the schedule down below.
