Barenaked Ladies multi-instrumentalist Kevin Hearn is stepping out solo again for his latest LP Days in Frames. And while the record doesn't arrive until tomorrow (November 25) via Roaring Girl Records/Fontana North, Exclaim.ca has got your first look at his brand new video for "Gallerina."
The track itself tells the story of a painting who falls in love with a gallery worker, offering up a unique twist on a tale of unrequited love. The piano-driven number is paired with some rather psychedelic visuals for the new clip, which was directed by Philip Harder (Barenaked Ladies, Sonic Youth, Prince).
Colourful bubbles, spinning ladies and rainbow-bright butterflies flutter across the screen as Hearn and his keys take a backseat to the surreal imagery.
Hearn will be celebrating the release of Days in Frames with a show at the Piston in Toronto on November 26, but for right now, sit back, relax and enjoy the trip that the "Gallerina" video will take you on.
