KASHKA

"Salmon Arms" (video)

Kat Burns made a name for herself as the frontwoman of Toronto folk group Forest City Lovers, but she's making music as KASHKA now.

Self-describing her KASHKA work as "folkpoptronica," Burns recently released an EP of acoustic songs called Bones and now one of those tracks has received the visual treatment.

The sweet-sounding "Salmon Arms" is matched with a video that was shot, edited and hand-painted by Burns, putting a soft, but colourful, touch on an otherwise simple video.

KASHKA will perform at Toronto's Drake Underground on November 9, presenting acoustic arrangements followed by an electro-pop set. For now though, watch below as Burns delivers the tune directly into the camera, surrounded by pretty painted effects in the video for "Salmon Arms."
