JYJ

"Ayyy Girl" (ft. Kanye West and Malik Yusef)

BY Josiah HughesPublished Oct 14, 2010

Just when you thought Kanye West's place in pop culture couldn't get any more ubiquitous, the egotistical, dick-emailing rapper goes ahead and drops some rhymes on a track he produced for Korean boy band JYJ. The track is called "Ayyy Girl" and features Chicago rapper Malik Yusef. It's also the latest track we can add to our rapidly growing iTunes folder called "Kanye 2010 leaks."

Following a heartfelt intro from Malik, Kanye drops some straight rapping, along with some slight melodic parts before JYJ come in with some over-enunciated, melodramatic R&B. But the real charm on the track is Kanye's production. It sounds like a leftover from Graduation with triumphant synths and a space-age drum track.
