After having rolled out a single stream and video for "Where No Eagles Fly" earlier in the month, Julian Casablancas + the Voidz have now pushed the rest of their Tyranny out of the nest. Before it officially drops next Tuesday (September 23), you can let the whole thing soar out of your speakers now.
"Take Me in Your Army" plays out damaged and distorted, thriving off a factory clank and Casio keyboard tones while Casablancas' softened cries run above it all in fuzzed-out form. "Crunch Punch" presents an alternate universe version of the Strokes, with twin guitar melodies playing somewhat skewed and discordant above a menacing bass-and-drums groove. "Nintendo Blood," meanwhile, delivers electronic whimsy and Casablancas' multi-octave range.
You can check it all out down below, while Tyranny will be delivered September 23 through Casablancas' own Cult Records.
