Julian Casablancas + the Voidz recently cancelled their North American fall tour, but now they're attempting to make it up to fans a bit with a lyric video for the Tyranny track "Dare I Care."
The song is a sprawling rock epic with an unexpected undercurrent of bhangra. Casablancas' singing makes it sometimes very difficult to understand the lyrics, but that problem is solved by the accompanying visuals, which show the words amidst retro-style, kaleidoscopic animations.
A statement from the group explains, "Some fan called Jeff Kite made a lyric video for 'Dare I Care.'" That particular fan just happens to also be the Voidz's very own keyboardist. Watch his visual treatment for the song below.
