Josh Reichmann has performed with Tangiers, Josh Reichmann Oracle Band, Jewish Legend and Bad Tits. Now, the busy Toronto troubadour is working on yet another project: Dopes.
So far, it's not exactly clear how Dopes will differ from Reichmann's solo work. If you remember, he put out a solo album, After Live, under his own name back in the spring. His Facebook bio suggests that Dopes is simply a solo pseudonym, but it also lists Little Girls member Andrew Wilson as an additional band member. Meanwhile, the press photo includes an additional, uncredited collaborator.
So what exactly are Reichmann's plans for his new moniker? We're not entirely sure, but he began playing under the name shortly after releasing After Live.
Last night (October 27), Dopes opened for Death from Above 1979 at Toronto's Sound Academy.
