This year has seen an explosion in the popularity of high-profile tribute albums, and the latest star-studded covers disc will feature the songs of iconic folk strummer John Denver. The Music Is You: A Tribute to John Denver will arrive in February 2013 via ATO Records.

The collection features an impressive array of big names, including My Morning Jacket, Kathleen Edwards, J Mascis, Sharon Van Etten, Josh Ritter, Dave Matthews, Lucinda Williams, Amos Lee, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Old Crow Medicine Show, Brandi Carlile, Mary Chapin Carpenter and more.

The tracklist isn't yet entirely set in stone, since Lucinda Williams's selection has yet to be confirmed, but you can see the bulk of the song titles below. More artists will reportedly be added to the compilation.

This album comes 15 years after Denver's tragic death in an airplane crash, and 40 years after the release of his classic song "Rocky Mountain High."
