Emo vets Jimmy Eat World have been playing a pivotal role in music fans' high-school experiences for over 15 years. Now, the band are getting ready to unveil their seventh full-length album this September.

This week, the band tweeted [via Punknews.org], "Our new album 'Invented' will be out September 28, 2010."

Back in the fall, Jimmy Eat World revealed they they would be teaming up with producer Mark Trombino, who worked on previous albums Bleed American (2001), Clarity (1999) and Static Prevails (1996).

There's no information yet as to which label will be behind Invented. The band's past two studio LPs have come out through Interscope, as did their series of live albums, Chase This Light Tour 2008.

As always, expect information such as the tracklist and album cover to be announced in the coming weeks. Jimmy Eat World also added, "Tour information is coming soon."
