Australian ensemble Jack Ladder and the Dreamlanders' latest album Playmates will get a North American release on February 24 via Fat Possum, but they're teasing the arrival by sharing album cut "To Keep and Be Kept."
On the new track, the deep, dark vocals of Ladder are matched by those of special guest Sharon Van Etten. The pair previously teamed up for a track called "Come On Back This Way," which appears on the same album.
Both singers and some twangy guitars lend an organic, folksy feel to the otherwise shimmery pop ballad, making for an interesting juxtaposition. Listen to it below.
