Experimental Toronto singer-songwriter Isla Craig will release her latest LP The Becoming later this month, and she's previewing the upcoming album with a new track called "Love Song."
The song goes deeper than its romantic title, exploring "the womb of love, where we are held and offered refuge from the outside world," "the dance between the interior and exterior worlds" and "the movement from idealized love towards one of reciprocity."
The Becoming marks Craig's third solo release, though she's also recorded with Fucked Up and Owen Pallett, in addition to playing with US Girls, Jennifer Castle and the Cosmic Range.
The Becoming is due out on June 22 via Pleasence Records. Listen to "Love Song" below.
