Interpol Postpone Tonight's Toronto Show Due to Snowstorm

BY Alex HudsonPublished Nov 18, 2014

Torontonians who were excited for tonight's Interpol concert are in for a rather unpleasant surprise. The indie rock heroes were due to play the city's Kool Haus this evening (November 18), but the show has been postponed.

By the sound of things, this last-minute postponement isn't the band's fault in any way. In a statement, Interpol explained that their bus has been trapped in a snowstorm outside of Buffalo, NY, for more than nine hours. In other words, they're not going to make it to Toronto in time for tonight's show.

The outfit's statement is as follows:

Dear Toronto,

Our bus is trapped in a snowstorm just outside of Buffalo. We haven't moved our position on the road in over nine hours. Unfortunately, we'll have to cancel tonight's concert at the Kool Haus. We were greatly looking forward to the show but the big bad winter has come early this year. We will be informing people of a new date as soon as we can.

All the best,
Interpol

Assuming that Interpol don't remain stuck in the snowstorm for two more days, they will resume their tour in Montreal on November 20. According Interpol's camp, they will be announcing a Toronto make-up date as soon as possible.
