Earlier this week, we reported that due to Bono's emergency back surgery, the currently-scheduled North American leg of U2's 360° Tour would be postponed. Well, when it rains, it pours: tour-openers Interpol have now been forced to cancel many of their upcoming North American shows as well.
The NYC band, who recently lost bassist Carlos D, had many of their tour dates booked around the shows with U2, and have now scratched several off the list.
On their website, Interpol promised fans that their tour would be rescheduled. "We lament the change in plans, apologize for the inconvenience, and assure you that we'll do you right - when the time is right and the light is nice."
Their tour dates, as they remain, are below.
In related news, the band have a new album coming later this year, but details are still under wraps. You can listen to the sole released track, "Lights," here or below the tour dates.
