Interpol

"The Depths"

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Sep 2, 2014

Interpol are set to return with El Pintor next week, but the New York City post-punk unit have now shared a song called "The Depths" that didn't make it on to the forthcoming LP.

The new track is a slower number, featuring Paul Banks' signature gloomy drawl and a meandering guitar solo that burns out into a long instrumental finish.

"The Depths" may have been left off the album, but it's a welcome listen to tide fans over until the new record drops on September 9 via Matador. You can see Interpol's upcoming tour details here and give "The Depths" a spin in the player below.
