With a successful inaugural livestream performance from the Sadies in the books, Toronto's legendary Horseshoe Tavern is set to continue its "Horseshoe Hootenanny" hybrid virtual concert series with its latest booking, Ontario rockers UIC.
The band will take to the Horseshoe stage at 8:30 p.m. ET on October 24 for their FM Hill album release party. They'll perform cuts from the forthcoming album, as well as hits from their extensive back catalogue. Tickets for the event are on sale at Eventbrite now, and (unlike the previous instalment), attendees now have the option to book an in-person or online ticket.
UPDATE (10/14, 11:57 a.m. ET): Due to new coronavirus restrictions in Toronto's health zone, UIC's Hootenanny performance has been rescheduled to November 21 at 8:30 p.m. ET. Previously purchased tickets will be honoured at the new date. Additionally, the band will now be joined by Gerard Van Herk and Dave Gee.

That's right — the Horseshoe is opening up its doors to in-person concertgoers for the first time in over six months. Venue audience tickets are available to purchase for attendees aged 19 and up, for tables of two and four — and as should be expected, proper safety protocol is mandatory. That means observing COVID-19 rules around social distancing, mask-wearing and more. Those tickets are available for $29.50 and $39.50, plus fees.
And for those who wish to attend from the comfort of their homes, all-ages livestream Zoom tickets are available for the price of $15. These ticket holders will also be given the unique opportunity to rewatch the show for a period of up to a month. And the best part — anyone from across the country can tune in.
"Not exactly the record release party we were hoping for — we like our peeps in the same room with us, sweating it out," UIC's Murray Heywood wrote of the upcoming event in a post. "This does present us with a unique opportunity to reach around the world. I like the idea of reaching a worldwide audience with this livestream."
Following this, the second instalment in the concert series, the Horseshoe plans to continue to host bands playing "fully electric, professionally shot and mixed, nothing pre-taped — direct and live to air from its legendary stage."
