"It's like Gene Vincent singing the gospel according to Anton Szandor LaVey, and perhaps during a David Attenborough narrated Discovery Channel exclusive on armadillos." That's how Toronto eclectics the Holy Gasp explained their new single, "How I Get Down."
The song features thundering percussion and threatening vocals that, curiously, sound somewhere between a raw scream and a quivering croon. An undercurrent of guitar noise occasionally rises to the surface, while horns sometimes blare.
This comes from the upcoming album We Really Mean It. It was co-produced with Josh Korody (Greys, Burning Love, Great Bloomers) at Toronto's Candle Recording.
For now, though, learn "How I Get Down" below.
