The Hives Announce North American Dates, Play Toronto, Montreal

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Apr 26, 2012

The Hives recently announced their return with news of their impending Lex Hives LP, their first in five years, and the sharply dressed Swedish garage rock group will show off those tunes on our side of the world for a quickie North American tour this June.

The band just played Coachella the last few weekends, but they'll cross the pond again to kick off the nine-gig trip June 19 in Washington, DC. Making their way northward, the Scandinavian quintet will end up playing Canada twice. The first show takes place at Montreal's Metropolis on June 25, and they'll play Toronto's Sound Academy the following night. You can see the details down below.

The Hives let loose a seven-inch for Lex Hives number "Go Right Ahead" last weekend as part of Record Store Day, but if you haven't had a chance to check out the track just yet, you can stream it down below.

As previously reported, Lex Hives hits retailers June 5 through Disques Hives/Warner.
