Earlier this year, Vancouver funk-folk crew Hey Ocean! told us that their pop-leaning new album was mastered and ready to go, and that it would be available once release details were worked out. Well, those details have yet to be confirmed, but the band will be tiding us over with a Canadian tour this fall.
There are 13 dates in all, beginning in Montreal and stretching west as far as Vancouver Island. In a Twitter post, the band revealed that they'll be supported by fellow Vancouverites the Belle Game. See the schedule below.
As for Hey Ocean!'s album plans, CBC Radio 3 announced that the band would be self-releasing an EP on November 8, but this has yet to be confirmed.
You can hear a pair of new songs at the bottom of this page: "Make a New Dance Up" and "Big Blue Wave." The latter is a radio rip from Vancouver's 100.5 the PEAK, and the DJ says that the forthcoming album will be called Is, a title that has been echoed by the band's SoundCloud page.
