Earlier this year, we reported that post-Human League synth pop greats Heaven 17 were planning a "super luxury" reissue of their seminal Penthouse and Pavement album. Now, the tracklisting has been revealed, and it definitely earns the adjective "super."
As Slicing Up Eyeballs reports, the reissue has been dubbed the Penthouse and Pavement: Collectors Edition, and features two CDs, as well as a DVD. The first disc features a remastered version of the original album, while the second disc includes demo tracks and recently unearthed B-sides. The set also comes with a DVD that includes a documentary called Heaven 17: The Story of Penthouse and Pavement.
On top of all that, there is a separate Penthouse and Pavement DVD hitting shelves around the same time, this one featuring a full live set from 2009. Along with Heaven 17 classics, the band perform covers of Lou Reed's "Perfect Day," the Human League's "Being Boiled" and the Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'." The DVD will also come with a second disc that features an extended version of the same documentary as the box set.
The Penthouse and Pavement Live in Concert DVD set will be released on November 15 in the UK, with the Penthouse and Pavement: Collectors Edition coming the week after on November 22. Both releases will be available via EMI UK. A North American release date has not yet been announced, so you'll likely have to pay import prices on this one.
