Hangout Handbook

Quick Hits of Hamilton

BY Chris AdeneyPublished Sep 8, 2014

In our annual Hangout Handbook, Exclaim! asks some of our favourite artists to discuss the hidden gems in their hometowns. Here, Wax Mannequin (real name Chris Adeney) outlines his picks for Hamilton.

Brunch:

Jack and Lois's (301 James St. N). It's a nice little place; they have a cute patio that holds movie nights in the summer.

Coffee:

Mulberry Street Coffeehouse (193 James St. N). It's the people's Starbucks.

Spicy:

Gate of India (201 James St. N) They make it spicy as hell if you ask them to, and always throw in extra pappadums.

Fancy:

Rapscallion (61 Young St.) They change the menu all the time. Always good.

Romantic:

Webster's Falls. Especially in the fall.

Underrated:

Bayfront Park. It's not nearly as dirty as they say.

Rockin' Out:

Supercrawl!

Rockin' In:

Casbah (306 King St. W) Previously good. Recently renovated. Now great.
