Last month, when Hamilton, ON's Supercrawl announced that J Mascis would be appearing at its 2011 instalment, we knew that more acts would be confirmed soon. Well, prepare to get excited, since the organizers have just announced a handful of new high-profile performers.
The lineup now includes performances by Canadian heroes Broken Social Scene, Plants and Animals, and Said the Whale. They will be joined by Paley & Francis, the new band features Black Francis of the Pixies. The bill also features Dinner Belles, Young Rival, Electroluminescent and the Megaphonic Thrift.
All of these artists will be playing on a single day, September 10, between 1 p.m. and midnight on Hamilton's James Street North.
The event will be free and feature dance performances, film and art installations. Read more about the festival here, and check out the official website for future updates.
