Late last year, reports indicated that Wu-Tang rapper GZA would be putting out a new album in 2012, so it hasn't caught us by surprise that some more info is popping up about the record. While some of the details are still up in the air, we now have a title: Dark Matter.

As the title implies, the album is reportedly concerned with astronomy and quantum psychics. Fittingly, the rapper will be lecturing at at a number of schools this spring, including Massachusetts Institute of Technology, New York University, the University of Southern California, and Cornell.

GZA told HipHopDX, "I will take a quantum leap and discuss the universe while taking us on a journey through deep space. Travelling at light-speed from the galactic center of one galaxy to the farthest corners of another. I hope my listeners will enjoy this cosmic adventure within a world of colossal planets, gas giants, meteorites, comets, and asteroids in the most extreme conditions."

By the sound of things, this statement refers to his lecture series. But hey, with a title like Dark Matter, he could just as easily be talking about the album.

The LP will some out via Babygrande, but the date is still unconfirmed.
