Guelph ON's Mathemagic Prep Debut EP for Paper Bag

Thanks to a string of addictive, hazy remixes for the likes of CFCF and You Say Party! We Say Die!, Guelph, ON's Mathemagic have developed some major hype around them. The duo, composed of brothers Evan and Dylan Euteneier, have been working as Mathemagic for less than a year, and this month, they're set to release their debut EP on Paper Bag Digital.

In a press release, Dylan Euteneier explains that Mathemagic came together naturally for the pair. "We decided to start collaborating on a project and wrote a few songs where we tried to be as creative as possible with the sounds and ideas that we used," he says. "Generally we don't really have a specific writing process. We usually just build off of a sound, or riff that we really like. We have tried to stay away from using samples, and rely on our own vision."

Paper Bag Digital will release the band's self-titled five-song EP on April 13 as a digital download. The duo are currently preparing their debut full-length for release later this year.

In the meantime, check out the songs "High," "Always Will Be," "Breaststroke" and their reworking of CFCF's "Big Love" over at the Mathemagic MySpace.
