Three years back, iconic dance music diva Grace Jones let loose Hurricane, her first new album of material in nearly 20 years. The disc, which featured cameos from notables such as Brian Eno, Sly & Robbie and Tricky, among others, was a return to form for the eccentric "Queen of Gay Disco."
Only problem was, the album was only released across the pond. Unless you were big into imports or cruised the torrents regularly, North America was left in the dust. That is, until now. Jones has just announced the release of Hurricane on this content.
The album will be issued by PIAS September 6, and as a press release explains, the repackaged affair will come with some extra goodies as well. In fact, it will come with an entire bonus disc, which include a series of dub remixes.
A tracklisting has not yet been revealed, but you can take listen to album track "Sunset Sunrise" here.
