As previously reported, Glaswegian indie trio Golden Grrrls are set to deliver their self-titled debut on February 26 through Slumberland. That may be more than a month away, but you can sample some of the group's sweet, sweet sounds now via a stream of album track "Past Tense."
It's a triple dose of twee pleasure, with rangly-jangly guitar chords, beaming bass runs, and a jittery backbeat serving up a cutesy confection. Drummer Eilidh Rodgers' chirp takes centre stage on the cut, but Ruari MacLean's laissez-faire baritone back-ups make for a nice juxtaposition.
