Laura Jane Grace has revealed an upbeat video for "Day Old Coffee," the fifth song off her surprise solo EP titled At War with the Silverfish, released in September via Polyvinyl.

The Chris Bauer and Richard Louis Ulrich-directed video is a caffeine-fueled ride, with the camera shifting its attention constantly. The chaotic style offers frenetic pacing to complement the fast-paced tempo of the song. "This is the worst song I've ever written but the video turned out really good," Grace stated in a press release.

Her assessment is fitting, as the well-executed visuals elevate the track. The lens placed over the shots is an especially playful choice, framing them like a car's rearview and switching to a thermal filter beyond its frame.

The "Day Old Coffee" video includes Grace sitting amidst a semi-circle of multiple mugs of, you guessed it, coffee. In a standout moment, the music cuts briefly as Grace paces over to a chair, sits, and immediately stands back up with a head shake — the humorous bit gestures to her wired state. Ultimately, the scenes play like a fun behind-the-scenes of Grace as she writes lyrics and procrastinates in equal measure.
