This year marks the 40th anniversary of both Gary Numan's Replica album with Tubeway Army and solo debut The Pleasure Principle, and he'll celebrate the milestone with a pair of new anniversary collections.
Eschewing the typical reissue rollout, Numan will deliver collections of early recordings, outtakes, demos and more for each of the aforementioned albums.
Both Replicas - The First Recordings and The Pleasure Principle - The First Recordings will arrive through Beggars Arkive on October 11.
A press release explains that while both of these albums have remained in print, the 40th anniversary reissues "concentrate on the early recordings made prior to the completed albums and present the evolution of the albums."
The tracks for each anniversary edition have been sequenced as they appeared on the original tapes and have been taken from high resolution digital transfers made in 2007.
The sprawling tracklist for each release features early versions, recordings from BBC Peel sessions and previously unreleased demos. You can pore over the contents of both CD and vinyl editions below.
