Gary Numan Announces 'Dead Son Rising,' Previews New Track

The last we heard from synth guru Gary Numan, he was prepping a box set collecting his earliest material, but it looks as if the former Tubeway Army leader is finally ready to release something more contemporary. The musician has just announced Dead Son Rising, his first album of new songs since 2006's Jagged.

Not much has been revealed about the set, but it's said to feature "a mixture of new songs, instrumental tracks and specially commissioned remixes." He will be selling the collection exclusively on his website.

A tracklisting has yet to pop up for the digital release, due September 5, but you can check out a sample of the clanking industrial thumper "The Fall," co-written and produced by Ade Fenton, below.
