Police are investigating the death of a Virginia gamer who died in the midst of a 24-hour marathon play session last Sunday (February 19).
As the Associated Press reports, 34-year-old Brian Vigneault was livestreaming his full day of playing World of Tanks via Twitch.tv to help raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Tragically, 22 hours into gameplay, he left his computer for a smoke break and did not return.
He was found unresponsive outside his Virginia Beach home and pronounced dead at the scene. A local police spokesperson says foul play is not suspected, though the cause of his death is still unclear.
