Frightened Rabbit Auctioning Gear to Support Mental Health Charity

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jun 11, 2019

Frightened Rabbit have announced plans for an auction in support of their mental health charity, Make Tiny Changes.

The band will be selling off gear via Reverb, including late frontman Scott Hutchison's amp, as well as a number of other amps, stands and a drum kit. Half of the proceeds from the auction will be given to Make Tiny Changes.

Hutchison died by suicide last year at the age of 36. In the wake of his death, his bandmates (including his brother Grant Hutchison) set up Make Tiny Changes to raise awareness and support young people dealing with mental health issues.

"We plan to use the voice we have to spread a message of hope and positivity and to raise awareness of the issues facing young people and children today," the band said in a statement. "Mental health was a cause that was very close to Scott's heart and one that he would be extremely proud to see his family and the band supporting."
