Finland's Prime Minister Accused of Attending Too Many Music Festivals

Sorry for party rocking?

Sanna Marin, the Prime Minister of Finland, is going through yet another round of criticism for being a hot girl.

Following a new leaked video of her partying, Marin has been called out for attending too many music festivals and spending her energy on having fun rather than ruling. She was also spotted at Helsinki's Flow Festival last weekend, and attended Ruisrock in Turku last month.

Critics from the opposition are saying that her behaviour is unfitting for a PM, and one leader has even demanded she take a drug test.

Today, Marin has denied taking drugs in the video footage, saying she only drank alcohol and partied "in a boisterous way" alongside friends and Finnish celebrities [via the BBC]. Although she knew she was being filmed, she expressed hurt at the clip having been made public.

"I danced, sang, and partied — perfectly legal things," the Prime Minister said, adding: "And I've never been in a situation where I've seen or known of others [using drugs]."

"I have a family life, I have a work life and I have free time to spend with my friends. Pretty much the same as many people my age," Marin, who came into power in December of 2019 explained, seeing no need to change her behaviour.

"I am going to be exactly the same person as I have been until now and I hope that it will be accepted," she said.

Last year, the Finnish leader made a public apology for going clubbing after being in close contact with a COVID-19 case.
