Nautiluss Preps 'Habitat' EP
Published Oct 23, 2012Toronto's Graham Bertie may have made a name for himself as one half of the defunct electronic duo Thunderheist, but he's performed under the name Nautiluss for a little while now. His latest EP under this moniker is called Habitat, and it will be out on November 5 through Turbo Recordings.
The four-song collection reportedly finds the beatmaker exploring the dark limits of house and techno. A press release describes the songs with phrases like "unique atmospheric bomb," "demonic vocal stabs" and "sounds like an entire warehouse caving in on your head." In other words, we can expect this to be fairly intense stuff.
Peruse the tracklist below. The very Architecture & Morality-looking album cover is above. At the bottom of the page are two in-studio videos that show the EP being mastered at Lacquer Channel in Toronto. The clips are each under a minute long, but you'll get a brief taste of the new music.
This is Bertie's second EP as Nautiluss. Alpha came out back in the spring and you can buy it from iTunes. We can expect more releases from him in 2013.
