Here's one more reason to brave those Olympic crowds in Vancouver: Elvis Costello will be joining Hal Willner's all-star Neil Young tribute taking place Thursday (February 18) and Friday (February 19) at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
It's not that strange that Costello will be taking part in the Cultural Olympiad event; he's married to Canadian jazz gal Diana Krall, has a house in Vancouver and spends a lot of time in the city.
Costello joins another recent addition to what is called Hal Willner's Neil Young Project, Lou Reed, as well as artists such as Ron Sexsmith, Colin James, Julie Doiron, Iron & Wine, folks from Broken Social Scene and many others, all of whom will be paying homage to the man at the concert.

Costello's last album was 2009's Americana-tinged Secret, Profane & Sugarcane.
