Hamilton band Ellevator have released a new EP, Do the Words I Spoke Still Move You?, via Arts & Crafts.
The EP is made up of four reimagined off-the-floor versions of tracks from their debut full-length album The Words You Spoke Still Move Me. To mark the arrival of their new EP, they've released a music video for the new version of "Claws." Watch it below.
"We've been playing this song on repeat over the last year- and its significance seems to have deepened over time," Ellevator's bandleader Nabi Sue Bersche said in a statement. "We've always introduced it as a love song, but it's really more of a trust song. Without trust you can't surrender, and without trust you can't sustain love. To love is to sharpen, and to sharpen requires trust. This kind of love is terrifying and very good."
In celebration of the release, Ellevator will be playing a hometown show in Hamilton this Saturday (June 10). Get your tickets here.
