This week, Disclosure have been operating at a song-a-day pace, and in a move that could rankle crate-digging purists, brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence have been upfront about their sample sources all the while.
Now, the duo have rolled out another new song titled "Etran," which takes its name from the sampled Niger-based band Etran Finatawa. You can hear it in the player below.
This week alone has seen Disclosure release the Aquarium Dream-sampling "Ecstasy," sample Cameroonian musician Eko Roosevelt for "Tondo," and flip a Boz Scaggs classic for "Expressing What Matters."
UPDATE (2/27, 8:20 p.m. EST): Disclosure have now collected all their recent song drops on a single EP called Ecstasy. You can hear it below.
The tracks from this week mark Disclosure's first new material since 2018, a year that saw them roll out six standalone singles. Those were the Fatoumata Diawara-assisted "Ultimatum," "Moonlight," "Where Angels Fear to Tread," "Love Can Be So Hard," "Funky Sensation" and "Where You Come From."
Disclosure have yet to follow up 2015's Caracal album. Their Moog for Love EP arrived in 2016, while the aforementioned 2018 singles were eventually collected for EP Moonlight that same year.
In January, Guy Lawrence leant production to Mac Miller's posthumous album Circles.
