Toronto act Deliluh have just shared Igor, a four-song EP that demonstrates their many talents.
The release recalls a time when "indie rock" was characterized by beefy guitars, dejected vocals and anthemic songwriting rather than the car commercial glockenspiel music that's now often associated with the genre tag.
Pavement, Guided by Voices and Sebadoh are solid reference points, though Deliluh aren't afraid to build songs up with heavy guitar riffs.
Listen to Igor below. Deliluh will also perform at Toronto's Smiling Buddha tomorrow (April 28). Details on the show are available here.
