Folk-pop favourites the Decemberists finally return with What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World next week and they've shared another lyric video in advance of the new album.
We've already sung along to "Lake Song" and "The Wrong Year," but now the Portland ensemble has released a clip for "A Beginning Song."
In addition to the lyrics, the clip features studio footage of Colin Meloy and the gang, as well as some grainy nature shots.
And, in what seems like what could only be an episode of Portlandia — or perhaps gives credence to the authenticity of the show — January 20 has been declared Decemberists Day in the city of Portland. The mayor will be present to honour the band, who will perform and unveil a community art project inspired by the new album. As reported by Pitchfork [via the Orgeonian], it was crafted by 50 local artists and small businesses.
