Los Angeles indie rockers the Dead Ships recently unveiled plans for their upcoming Brendan Canning-produced effort EP I, sharing the bouncy "Big Quiet" last month. Well, the band are back with another taste of the record to come, and Exclaim! has got the premiere of brand new track "Floorboards."
Striking guitars and a pounding back beat give off an art-punk vibe, with singer/guitarist Devlin McCluskey's vocals running the gamut from low and guttural to distorted and shouty, all the while keeping things moving along to the melody.
It's a three-and-a-half-minute slice of solid garage rock, and you can scroll past the band's upcoming Canadian Music Week dates to give it a spin in the player below.
