Montreal's Cristóbal Cortes has been making upbeat, techno-tinged electro music under the Das Mörtal moniker lately, and Exclaim.ca is pleased to premiere his latest video for "La Pussy."
Fittingly described in a press release as "electronic sci-wave," the track comes Das Mörtal's upcoming EP Never Forgotten, which will arrive on November 30 via Lisbon Lux Records.
As for the accompanying visuals, Cortes has treated viewers to an all-out Halloween-themed spectacle. Set in a "parallel universe where night prevails over day, shadows prevail over light," we get everything from bleeding ice cream to worm sandwiches in the clip, which was directed by La Barbe Rousse (a.k.a. Xavier Hamel). The creepy imagery and freaky costumes pair well with the ominous, ever-building techno beat.
