Following a change in ownership last month, Montreal label Dare to Care Records has now rebranded as Bravo Musique.

The announcement by the now Coeur de Pirate-owned label came late yesterday (February 21), upon which a new logo and website were revealed.

A statement from the now label introduces Bravo Musique as "a 'music and talent label' that represents complex and complete homegrown artists, allowing them to shine on local stages and beyond."

Below, you can find a complete statement in which the label outlines tenets of "inclusion, empathy and respect for artists and their work."

In January, it was announced that Dare to Care Records had been purchased by Coeur de Pirate (a.k.a. Béatrice Martin), who will serve as the label's new president and artistic director.

Martin purchased the Montreal label from founder and principal owner Eli Bissonnette, who stepped down from operations last July after being accused of fostering a toxic workplace environment.

"I have many ideas for the future of the label," Martin shared following last month's acquisition news. "But my priority remains to provide a healthy and inclusive environment for our employees to thrive as well as for our artists to develop and continue to share our culture."
