Independent Vancouver folk-pop troubadour Daniel Moir is just about to put his new Monday Morning LP in stores and will celebrate his latest self-released album with a quick stretch of Western concert dates.
The eight-song follow-up to 2010's Road arrives October 1, and press material explains that Moir went hands-on with the release, writing and arranging the tracks and handling most instrument duties. He additionally had a hand in the album's production, mixing and engineering, though he got some assistance from producer Russell Broom (Jann Arden, Sam Roberts) and co-engineer David Kean (Björk, Audities Foundation).
"It's a bit surreal to me, and I'm very pleased with the result," Moir said in a statement. "It feels like an enormous release of thoughts, philosophies, pains and joys collected over the past three years. I can't wait to show it to you. It's always a bit strange to expose something so personal to the world, but it's something I feel like most musicians feel they have no choice in doing. I'm sure artists of any nature feel the same way."
You can stream the album's "Home of Mine" down below, where you'll also find a list of tour dates in BC, Alberta and Washington.
