After teasing us with "Basement," emotive Winnipeg pop punks Dangercat are giving us the full meal deal. Ahead of the September 30 release of To the Moon, you can now stream the entire effort here on Exclaim.ca.
Produced by Comeback Kid's Andrew Neufeld, the album gets off to a touching start with "Fear & Drugs," laying on thick and crunchy power chords, some powerful kit work, and Keith Dueck's gruff croon. Much of the resulting album follows suit, hitting that '90s emo sweet spot with abandon and repeatedly bringing to mind greats like Jawbreaker, Samiam and Hot Water Music without sounding like some lazy retread.
Hear Dangercat's solidly delivered sophomore effort for yourself below.
Dangercat will celebrate the release of To the Moon at a September 26 record release party at Winnipeg's Windsor Hotel.
