Conan O'Brien Nabs Jack White for Premiere

Prolific rocker Jack White and funnyman Conan O'Brien have formed an unlikely alliance as of late. After the White Stripes appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien numerous times, the two became friends; earlier this year, White released O'Brien's live album and seven-inch through his own Third Man Records. Now, with the premiere of Conan's new TBS talk show just around the corner, it has been announced that White will be the first-ever musical guest.

It's unknown if White will be performing solo, or if he will be bringing along one of his many musical projects — possibly the Dead Weather, or even the long-dormant White Stripes. The latter's most recent performance was in February 2009, when they performed on the last-ever episode of Late Night with Conan O'Brien.

TBS currently lists the musical guest simply as “Jack White.” The show will air on the night of November 8 and will include Seth Rogan, plus the winner of the First Guest Poll. The other musical guests on the first week of Conan are Soundgarden and Fistful of Mercy.
