In 2013, Glaswegian synth-pop outfit Chvrches made a splash with their debut album, The Bones of What You Believe. Having promoted it extensively and then contributing a song to the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, they've now started recording their sophomore album.
The band announced the news with a tweet saying that today (January 16) was their first day in the studio. They also posted a few pictures and, while it's obviously too soon to speculate what the album will sound like, the array of synths suggests that they may well be sticking with their electronic palette.
