Chain and the Gang

'In Cool Blood' (trailer) / "Certain Kinds of Trash" (video)

In case you hadn't heard, long-running punk figure Ian Svenonius's current garage rawk troupe Chain and the Gang issued their third long-player In Cool Blood last week. To celebrate the release, the act has unleashed a couple of ultra-lo-fi promotional clips.

Up first is a makeshift commercial for the album, which finds two ladies fishing near the river as the closing title track plays in the background. Things they reel in off their poles include a tasty leather boot, an old-school alarm clock and, most importantly, a copy of the new Chain album. The clip then caps with a partial list of record stores where you can pick up the platter.

A more, uh, traditional video clip for new number "Certain Kinds of Trash," meanwhile, stars frontman Svenonius and fellow Chain and the Gang member Katie Alice Greer singing the bluesy cut from the safety of a garbage-strewn sofa. The two make good use of the refuse, with Greer taking some trash for a walk, while Svenonius makes a meal out of some chopped-up newspaper.

You can check out both clips down below.

In Cool Blood is out now on K Records.
