Last Tuesday (March 4) saw the sophomore release of Canadian crooner Carleton Stone's Draws Blood on Groundswell/Warner Music. In honour of his new album, the Nova Scotian singer-songwriter stopped by the Exclaim! office to play a stripped-down rendition of the album's title-track live for Exclaim! TV.
While the original featured a clap-heavy beat and '80s synthesizer to propel the song forward, Stone settles for nothing more than an acoustic guitar and his own golden pipes in this exclusive live session. Listen as the up-and-coming performer strums away on this plaintive acoustic ballad, which seems at least in part inspired by the passing of his longtime musical collaborator Jay Smith.
