Toronto-based electro-pop duo Candy Coated Killahz (aka Tasha Schumann and Icon the Anomali) have been catching a lot of buzz lately -- and for good reason.
Off the strength of the 2009 hit "Playboy" and the MuchMusic Video Award-nominated glitch pop single "Neon Black" released earlier this year, a recent press release confirms that the group's sophomore album, also called Neon Black, will drop July 5 on MapleMusic Recordings.
With a sound the group dub "ghettotronica," the album will feature guest collaborators Marc Costanzo of Len, Tino Zolfo and Swedish producer Marten Tromm. While a tracklist has yet to surface, the upcoming Neon Black LP release will kick off with a number of nationwide Canadian tour stops. Check out the dates below, as well as the music video for the title track.
Tour dates:
7/2 Toronto, ON - Revival Bar
7/3 Toronto, ON - Alexander Parkette
7/5 Calgary, AB - Calgary Stampede
7/6 Edmonton, AB - TBD
7/9 Regina, SK - Summer Invasion
7/16 Burlington, ON - Zubar
8/5 Toronto, ON - Beerfest
